Mission Trips

Serve Alongside Our Sister Organization

Mission trips with Morning Star are about service, relationship, learning, and encouraging the local leaders who carry this work every day.

The Purpose of a Mission Trip

The local work leads. Visitors come to help, not to take over.

A Morning Star trip exists to support and encourage our sister organization: to assess needs together, serve on practical projects, strengthen relationships, learn from the community, and offer training and encouragement.

What a Trip Is, and Is Not

Service and humility, not tourism.

It Is

Service, humility, and partnership. We prepare participants to serve responsibly and with cultural respect.

It Is Not

Tourism or a self-focused experience. The goals of the trip center the community we serve, not the visitor.

Who Can Participate and How to Prepare

Individuals, teams, and skilled volunteers.

Trips may suit individuals, church teams, and skilled volunteers. Participants prepare through clear expectations around conduct, safety, cultural humility, and the goals of the trip.

Individuals & Teams

Join as an individual or bring your church team to serve together.

Safety & Conduct

Clear expectations and preparation around safety and cultural respect.

Cultural Humility

Training that centers learning from the community we visit.

Express your interest.

Tell us a little about your team or yourself, and we'll help you find the right trip and the right preparation.
