Governance You Can Trust
Morning Star is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors responsible for our mission integrity, financial oversight, and long-term direction.
Accountability is not an afterthought. It's the foundation.
Our Board of Directors provides independent oversight of Morning Star's mission, finances, and strategic direction. Board members volunteer their time and expertise because they believe in this work, and they hold our leadership accountable to the donors, partners, and communities we serve.
Volunteer leaders, entrusted with oversight.
David Warren
David Warren leads Morning Star Center’s board with a pastor’s heart and a steady hand. His years of ministry and community service in Denver, including his work with Open Door Ministry, shaped a conviction that runs through everything he brings to this board: people are worth the long walk. David guides governance, mission integrity and long term direction.
Jacquie Graham
Jacquie Graham has spent her career close to the children most systems overlook. Her work with inner city Christian education in Denver gives her an instinct for what actually helps a child stay in school and thrive, and she brings that same care to Morning Star’s records, governance and accountability.
Collette Pella
Collette Pella is a social worker who has spent her career alongside families under pressure. As Director of Staff and Intern Development at Thriving Families!/Motherwise, she walks with pregnant and parenting people from age 15 to 58. A founding member of Morning Star's board, she has seen the work firsthand in both Congo and South Africa.
